(10/27/2019) The Love Of Money

Today, reply is on delaying and postponing a saving relationship with Jesus Christ while pursuing the aims and goals of business. Many will seek to justify wrong-doing as correct and necessary when doing business. Thus, Christian believers are admonished and warned about becoming enslaved to fashion, riches, material things, and the operations of the world (e.g., carnal reason, competition, self-promotion, vanity). Through doctrine, prophecy, and teachings that have been examined and tested using thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousand of years, divinity has exposed the danger of immersing oneself in business, commerce, politics and trade, or accumulating and administering wealth. Taken to the extreme, the busyness of business always is an enemy of ones Spirit from GOD. Because commitment to Christ is spoken of as joining oneself to GOD, as love and as marriage, becoming overly impressed by the world is described as adultery, fornication, transgression of divine law, and whore-mongering. The Book of Revelation urges mankind to come out of Babylon the Great, and to turn away from the Great Whore. Also it is written: Romans 8: 5-9, King James Version (KJV): Romans 8: 5-9, King James Version (KJV): 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

Should Jesus be put on the back burner when you have to violate his teachings in the name of business?
Business is business (except abortion clinics, apparently). “Forget Jesus. He already died for my sins, so I’m done with him anyways. It’s Paul’s teachings that I’ve got to follow now. One in particular: ‘Make as much money as humanly possible or die.’”

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a mans life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. (Luke 12: 13-15, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: How To Serve GOD (09/04/2019); Parable of a Fool (08/04/2019); The Use of Money? (01/07/2019); Not A Financial Transaction (01/28/2018); Transgression of Sacred Law? (10/25/2018); Porn, Prostitutes and Salvation? (06/08/2017); The Mammon of Unrighteousness? (04/03/2017); Divine Delay and Prayer? (03/22/2017); About The Great Whore? (06/24/2016)

Anonymous”, among Christians, exaggerated desire and lust for money (we also say, Mammon) is false worship that acknowledges a man-made thing in place of the living GOD. Christian believers are to continually display balance, consciousness of divinity, sacred knowledge, and self-will (willpower) that are imparted from the substance of GOD. Through divine seed (many say, sacred DNA), men and women on the earth are to become recognizable as the sons and daughters of GOD, joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, and the new creation. Included in the fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word) believers receive from GOD are inseparable aspects of divine fullness such as faith, forbearance, holiness, oneness without sameness, personhood, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Those who become “born again” are granted an ongoing relationship with divinity as “developing believers” who must “grow up again” while on the earth through accepting accountability, commitment, discovery, enduring growing pains, gradual growth, fellowship within a community of faith, sacred practices, unselfish service, and suffering. All are to become mature/ripe for harvest by the Savior at his Advent (we also say, his appearing, the Rapture, the Second Coming). Becoming a child of GOD is a matter of love being emanated and poured forth from divinity, rather than transactions trafficking in flesh. Believers often speak in terms of adoption, canceling debts, free gifts and grace, as well as being a divine purchase. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of John Michael Talbot:

1.) 1st Timothy 6: 7-11, King James Version (KJV): 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

2.) 1st Peter 5: 2-4, KJV: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over Gods heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

3.) Acts 20: 28, KJV: 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aHneNl38fM.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(12/12/2018) Sacred Characters, Not Fictional

The image depicts the promise to Abraham of an heir from GOD who would be a required lamb of sacrifice.

Today, the reply is on Abraham and Moses as sacred figures, rather than make-believe or fictional characters. The belief system provided to all Christians is intended to make visible the diverse actualities, opportunities, possibilities, and streams of sacred (rather than secular) truth that continue a permanent connection for our own existence and lives to that of divinity. In the same way, Israel was called out from a one-world empire, Egypt, to exist as the lawful heir and son of divinity, Christian believers are commanded to separate from this present world that is a man-made system for exchange, interaction, and survival to exist as divine offspring and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. Consider again the spiritual application and meaning for Revelation 18: 1-5, King James Version (KJV): 1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shown) posted the following:

Are Moses and Abraham real or fictional characters?

Even secular Jews say they are mythological characters and Jews were never held as slaves in Egypt

Only religious Jews and Christians say they are real

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. (Isaiah 63: 16, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: The Word From GOD (12/11/2018); Lost For 40 Years? (09/17/2018); The First “Chosen” People (05/03/2018); Christianity Is A Relationship (04/05/2018); The Goodness of Pharaoh? (02/19/2018); The Generation That Wandered (06/14/2017); Kingdom and One-world Empire (09/08/2016); Slaves to Sin? (04/13/2015); Adam, Pharaoh and All Mankind? (01/28/2015)

Anonymous”, fictional characters are fashioned and intended for amusement, diversion, entertainment, and recreation. Christian belief shares a simple, yet, richly detailed and profound revelation of (1) the character, makeup, process, and substance of divine fullness (we also say, the Godhead; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit); (2) the origins of existence, duration, order, purpose, sacred law, and suffering; and (3) meanings, principles, and values that continue human survival and the accomplishment of authentic humanity despite the condition of mortality, and the operations of sin. In addition to the origin of mankind, eternal purpose and operations of GOD are described highlighting divine dominion that appears through family, government, inheritance, judgment, covenant relationship, redemption, and salvation.

For Christians, Egypt is a symbol of idolatry, lawlessness, occult practices (i.e. sorcery; witchcraft), and spiritual confusion. Egypt became a one-world empire during the period of famine when the nations land, livestock, and entire population (except for the Hebrews) became chattel (private property) and slaves to the household of the Pharaoh. Even so, the Hebrews sought to assimilate, blend in, and coexist among the Egyptians. The Egyptians continually displayed bias, ethnic arrogance, and prejudice against the sons of Jacob; and the Hebrews were despised for amassing and gathering livestock (being herders), rather than be merely handlers and users of a few beasts. Later, reproduction among the Hebrews threatened imbalance within the population; and the tribes of Jacob would come under persecution as a threat to the survival of the Egyptian people. GOD would demand release for the descendants of Abraham (the offspring of Jacob) from all financial, political and other obligations to Egypt; and would set them apart (we also say, consecrate; purify; sanctify) the tribes of Jacob through exodus and separation. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Genesis 47: 19-21 King James Version (KJV): 19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. 20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaohs. 21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

2. Exodus 4: 22-23, KJV: 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

3. Galatians 3: 6-9, KJV: 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

4. Galatians 3: 26-29, KJV: 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christs, then are ye Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 5. John 8: 31-40, KJV: 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abrahams seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 37 I know that ye are Abrahams seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. 38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

(08/30/2017) "Occupy Till I Come"

Today, thoughts are shared on current events and the end of the world.  Applying the time prophecies of 70 years written in Jeremiah 25:  11-33, King James Version, (KJV) to modern Israel (1948) and acknowledging a modern Babylon, some have calculated 2018 for the end of the world.  Yet, the word of the Lord from Jeremiah was to abide in Babylon and not to seek shelter from Egypt (chapter 42).  Ministries that ignore the warnings against attempting to calculate the coming of Christ on the basis of prophesy risk becoming discredited, and their followers dealt faith-shattering blows and disappointment.  As the caretakers and keepers of the earth, the people of GOD through Jesus Christ have been commanded to “occupy” until the Savior returns.  For Christians, then, “to occupy” means maintain, buildup, and nourish the aspects of Spirit that appear among you; set apart for GOD and sanctify the earth; and be fruitful as you tarry and wait for the return of our Risen Lord.  Christians are to be the active presence, a living vessel containing divine law, and an embodiment of the GODhead in the same way the Son of the Highest has been an Incarnation.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “chad” (Level 1 with 31 points, a member since July 25, 2017) posted the following:

Why do people even care about what trump does in office when the world ends in 2018?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  Sanctify them through thy truth:  thy word is truth.  As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:  that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.  (John 17:  14-23, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Politics and The Kingdom? (05/31/2017); Sanctify Yourselves for Tomorrow (05/07/2017); A Species of Animal? (01/31/2017); GOD’s Peculiar People (12/11/2016); His Children Are Sanctified (10/12/2016); Of Such Is The Kingdom (09/01/2015); Jesus As America’s President? (05/20/2015); Faith not Politics? (12/02/2014); Ye Are Not In The Flesh (12/03/2014)

“chad”, here are some thoughts I can share:  People care because accountability is always an aspect of genuine love, maturity, and understanding.  Many Christian believers are trusting that our instructions from Jesus for this hour center on preparing ourselves for his Advent (we say, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming), rather than daily fixing on and responding to activism and protest, death and despair, current events, political conflicts, secular knowledge, or emotional, psychological, sexual and social issues.  Such features from the flesh and the world will continue to be aspects of finite human experience that serve as hurdles and obstacles to sacred practice and spiritual growth.  They also are to serve as the necessary challenges, prods, and “growing pains” whereby those who are “born again” are energized to “grow up again.”

Christians are to acknowledge and proclaim the revealed purposes of GOD are the putting forth of existence, life, and the fullness of divine substance.  Believers are anointed, endowed, and supplied with every resource for maintaining divine order that should appear within earth, heaven, the universe, and all Creation.  Developing believers must discover revealed knowledge from GOD, and routinely display deposits of spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Included here are the inseparable features of faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

For those in covenant and personal relationships with GOD, there will be no “end of the world,” or total destruction of mankind.  Yet, there will be judgment; there will be resurrection of the dead; there will be transformation whereby mankind will be made an immortal companion to divinity; and there will be the elimination of sin and the final destruction of the wicked (we say, the second death).  In the same way only GOD is now immortal and incorruptible, only GOD knows the exact day and hour appointed for the end of things as we now know them.  Because they have not been given an authoritative word from GOD on the schedule of final events, believers are to discipline their bodies and minds to live responsibly as part of the world, yet, as if the Lord will come before you can compete the reading of this response.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 8:  5-9, King James Version (KJV):  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(2.)  Revelation 2:  10-11, KJV:  10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:  behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:  be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.) 2nd Peter 3:  8-14, KJV:  8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(09/08/2016) Kingdom and One-world Empire

Today, points are shared on government of the earth by divinity, and two forms of political authority practiced by men.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (the required profile information not shared) posted the following:
Why did most Greek, Roman and Egyptian kings believe they were God manifest. How did this tradition spread and where did it originate?
Update: Antiochus Epiphanes
Julius Ceasar
Augustus
Constantine
Pharaohs of Egypt
Alex the Great
THE GOLDEN ARROW:   The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:  Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein:  for the time is at hand.  John to the seven churches which are in Asia:  Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him:  and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.  (Revelation 1:  1-7, King James Version, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Need For Divine Rule? (08/27/2015); Slaves to Sin? (04/13/2015); A Christian Dictatorship? (03/05/2015); Blessing and Inheritance from Abraham? (06/05/2014); On Christians Executing Judgment (06/06/2014); Unto Caesar...? (11/09/2012); Before the Fruit? (11/10/2012)
“Anonymous”, because there are so many “talking smack” these days without being anchored in divine law and sacred truth, or thoroughly prepared with correct sacred knowledge, the teachings on government from GOD are often twisted and warped to express ignorance, secular history, and the finite achievements of created beings and living creatures.  For the Holy, there is the administration and ordering of all that exists, of all that have life, of life experience, of judgment (we say, assigning value), of maintenance for Creation by its  owner/possessor as well as making things appear from nothing that exists in furtherance of revelation (divinity being made knowable, known and visible through fulfillment of proclamation, promise, and prophecy).  Mature Christian believers who rely upon Bible accounts acknowledge Nimrod (the mighty hunter) as the individual who first used force and influence to establish social units for commerce and survival that we may think of as cities, and a territory ruled by an individual or “monarch”.   Called “Babel” (and later called “Babylon”), the cities of Nimrod departed from the agricultural model (be fruitful, multiply, replenish), and began to come under and promote codes of “urban” violence.  Because dominion over the earth had been granted to Adam, the goal, to rule the entire world, was not out of line with divine intent.  Where two or more cities are a “kingdom”, a group of kingdoms are an “empire”; and a “one-world empire” seeks to generate direct and indirect control over all upon the earth with out regard to geographical boundaries, divisions, regions, and territories.  Egypt appears as the first one-world empire through such features as the union of Lower and Upper Egypt; the purchase by Pharaoh of all goods, property, and the population itself during famine; lunar cycles and changes of the Nile river that resulted in fertility and richness of the soil; economic and political control in spite of differences seen in culture, ethnicity, language, and materials (e.g., use of copper or iron for tools and weapons).  The Roman empire is a clear example of rule by expansion through military conquest.  On the surface, there is a legitimate process of growth through addition and assimilation.  However, at core there is the sin of “coveting” (i.e., undisciplined and “out of control” desire; envy; wanting to take away and possess what belongs to others).  The seven tribes in covenant with GOD before the sons of Jacob and the mixed multitude who left Egypt following Moses, were a “divine empire” in contrast to Egypt; and the calling of Hebrews into covenant may be seen as the denial of those false covenant partners, and the renewal of divine control for all the earth.  Among the people of GOD, instead of being dictators, oppressors, and tyrants, “kings” are to function as deliverers (judges), redeemers, and saviors.  Christ is the Messiah and soon-coming king.  Consider again the following from the Bible:
(1.)  Numbers 24:  16-18, King James Version (KJV):  16 He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:  17 I shall see him, but not now:  I shall behold him, but not nigh:  there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.  18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
(2.)  Micah 5:  2-7, KJV:  2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.  3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth:  then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.  4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide:  for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.  5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land:  and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.  6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof:  thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.  7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
(3.)  Deuteronomy 7:  1-3, KJV:  7 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;  2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:  3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Isaiah 45:  22-24, KJV:  22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:  for I am God, and there is none else.  23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.  24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength:  even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

(04/13/2015) Slaves to Sin?

Points are shared, today, on bondage to sin and the periods of captivity and exile among the Jews.  By comparison to those from Africa who were forced to endure chattel slavery (status as another person’s belongings, goods or property) in Europe and the United States of America, the Jews have undergone discrimination, persecution, and prejudice, yet, have continued as a free and independent people.  The effects of abasement and the destruction of social institutions (e.g., customs, family, marriage, parenting, sacred practice, traditions) suffered by the sons of Africa continue among the diverse cultures of the world to this very hour.  In the holy writings, the first account of chattel slavery appears as the consolidation of Egypt.  Ownership and possession are major themes within the Scriptures.  The Jews appear to have escaped bondage, and remained the “property of GOD.”  Relief for the great famine administered by Joseph, resulted in a transformation of Egyptian government wherein the people became chattel, and the personal property of the Pharaohs.  Following their separation from the house of David under Rehoboam, son of Solomon, the Northern Kingdom (also called Israel and Samaria) condemned worship at the Temple in Jerusalem, and worship of the golden calf of Egypt was introduced.  Eventually, the North was overrun and subjugated by the Assyrians in what is called “captivity” due to the elements of forced labor, military conquest, and the people being relocated to develop weaker areas of the empire.  Hundreds of years later, the Southern Kingdom (also called, Judea) would be exploited in the same way by the Babylonians.  Where captivity is seen imposed by a foreign conqueror, exile is the lawful punishment by divinity where those in perpetual covenant for the Promised Land are banished and scattered from their homeland.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “hiniikken” (Level 1 with 2 points, a member since November 22, 2007) posted the following:

John 8:33 says that the Jews told Jesus they were never slaves. But they were slaves in Egypt , and then Babylon.?

John 8:33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.  (Hebrews 2:  14-16, KJV)

“hiniikken”, the word of GOD to Abraham as prophecy described a people being set apart and taken out (we say, sanctified) for divine service from among the sons of Adam who otherwise would remain in bondage to sin.  Consider the following:

(1.)  Genesis 15:  12-16, KJV:  12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.  13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;  14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge:  and afterward shall they come out with great substance.  15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.  16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again:  for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

(2.)  Genesis 47:  17-21, KJV:  17 And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses:  and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.  18 When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:  19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh:  and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.  20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them:  so the land became Pharaoh’s.  21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

(3.)  Galatians 4:  22-26, KJV:  22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.  23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.  24 Which things are an allegory:  for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.  25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.  26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

(4.)  Galatians 4:  30-31, KJV:  30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son:  for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.  31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

(5.)  Romans 6:  11-13, KJV:  11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

(6.)  Romans 6:  16-17, KJV:  16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (7.)  Romans 6:  21-23, KJV:  21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.  22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.  23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.
