Today,
reply is on ministry to chasten sinners who are members within a
church congregation through avoidance and separation called
“shunning”. Instances and offenses can appear in the household
of faith where a member is to be cut off. Thus, it is written: 1st
Corinthians 5: 1-8, King James Version (KJV): 1 It is reported
commonly that there is fornication among you, and such
fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one
should have his father’s wife.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that
hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I
verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged
already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so
done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are
gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus
Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of
the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven
leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that
ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our
passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast,
not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and
wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and
truth. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum

Christians,
does bible say to shun people who sin?
THE
GOLDEN ARROW: But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most
holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love
of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal
life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others
save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the
garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you
from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence
of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour,
be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.
Amen. (Jude 1: 20-25, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”,
here are counsels shared among those of the early church that
developing Christians today also are careful to examine and apply:
1.
2nd Corinthians 6: 14, King James Version (KJV): 14 Be
ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what
communion hath light with darkness?
2.
Proverbs 4: 13-19, KJV: 13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her
not go: keep her; for she is thy life. 14 Enter not into the
path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 15
Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. 16 For they
sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken
away, unless they cause some to fall. 17 For they eat the
bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. 18 But the path
of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and
more unto the perfect day. 19 The way of the wicked is as
darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
3.
Ephesians 5: 5-11, KJV: 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger,
nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man
deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the
wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye
therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but
now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and
righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the
Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of
darkness, but rather reprove them.
4.
2nd Timothy 3: 1-5, KJV: 1 This know also, that in the
last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of
their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but
denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
There
is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually
apprehended. (For example, 5. 2nd Thessalonians
3: 13-16, KJV: 13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. 14
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and
have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him
not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. 16 Now the Lord of
peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be
with you all.) Even so, I trust this
fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
