The cross and other demonstrations of humility toward GOD the Father are in view, today. Things seen that are finite and temporal all point to things that are unseen and eternal. Jesus was permitted to demonstrate and provide only a portion of the full sacred endowment intended for mankind. Christ was to become known by those in the earth through operations of indwelling Spirit that include conviction, faith, and sorrowing for sin. In private sharing with his apostles and disciples, the Savior demonstrated authority and gave utterance to commandments, prophesies, and direct statements that were not declared in public ministry except by parables. Consider the following Scriptures, and the presentation below:
Matthew 16: 13-17, King James Version (KJV): 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Hebrews 2: 14-18, KJV: 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Mark 15: 1-5, KJV: 1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate. 2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it. 3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. 4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee. 5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
John 18: 35-38, KJV: 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

Why wasn't Jesus' message, "I'm just a mere man, but God gave me these wonderful ideas. What do you guys think of them?"?
Wouldn't that have been more humble than declaring that God had given Him all authority in both Heaven and on Earth, as it says in Matthew 28:18?
"18 Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.'"
THE GOLDEN ARROW: And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. (Mark 2: 3-12, KJV)

“?”, your concern is answered by the cross. Trust that, despite time and space, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing to here and now. The appearance of divinity upon the earth as Jesus Christ was characterized throughout by humility and understatement, rather than extravagant displays, ostentation, and pomp. The operations of sin make it that men in the earth do not truly admire, love and respect one another, nor do they properly show fear of the Lord and respect to GOD. Through Jesus Christ, divinity was to be discovered as an “active presence” in the earth carrying out eternal purposes. To do this, the living must focus upon the spirit content of the actions performed by Christ. Incarnation (appearing in flesh), healing, forgiveness, and other sacred processes were to speak as prophetic demonstration. Jesus, therefore, avoided self-promotion, was silent, would not brag and boast, or speak to describe and explain sacred events. While angels did announce and celebrate the birth of Jesus, only John the Baptist was privileged to proclaim and witness his divine consecration at the Jordan River that signaled the beginning of the Savior’s ministry. At all times, Jesus was required to show respect, reverence and submission to the Father in heaven, and was not merely being lowly and simple to have favor with men upon the earth. The Redeemer demonstrated the higher levels of acceptance and respect to Deity that should be rendered by all created beings and living creatures. In accordance with prophecy, a young woman still in the despised status of virgin was chosen to be the Lord’s mother. Jesus entered the world as a nomad like Abraham, and his first bed was to be a manger. The Savior was raised as a fugitive having to move repeatedly to escape hostile authorities. Even Jesus dying upon the cross is a demonstration of humility before GOD. The clothes he was wearing at the time of his arrest were all his worldly goods; and the soldiers of Rome agreed to gamble rather than fight for them. Consider again how this is stated using language from the Bible:
(1.) Acts 4: 10-12, King James Version (KJV): 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
(2.) Matthew 11: 2-5, KJV: 2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, 3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? 4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: 5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
(3.) Mark 14: 60-62, KJV: 60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) John 11: 21-27, KJV: 21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. 23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. 24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? 27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
