(01/08/2016) The GOD Of All?

Today, Scripture points are shared showing the GOD of Israel is the Deity worshiped by followers of Jesus Christ.  Throughout the holy writings acknowledgment, confession and reverence appear identifying the One revealed as Creator to be the only deity who maintains eternal covenants while ruling as perpetual sovereign.  Included are such Bible verses as:

Nehemiah 9:  6-8, King James Version (KJV):  6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.  7 Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;  8 And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:

Jeremiah 32:  26-27, KJV:  26 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,  27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh:  is there any thing too hard for me?

Psalms 103:  19-22, KJV:  19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.  20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.  21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.  22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion:  bless the LORD, O my soul.

Hebrews 1:  1-5, KJV:  1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:  4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

1st Corinthians 8:  5-6, KJV:  5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)  6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

What GOD do Christians pray to, because they clearly are not praying to THE GOD OF ISRAEL in the HOLY BIBLE?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.  As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;  So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.  Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.  Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:  That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.  (Psalms 83:  13-18, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Bad GOD, Good GOD? (01/03/2016); We Call Him Jealous? (10/25/2015); No Other gods? (08/14/2015); Secular Israel? (04/08/2015); About Knowing the Name of GOD (09/21/2014); About Deluding Yourself? (09/22/2014); Three Covenants? (06/09/2014); Let Us Make Mankind? (06/10/2014)

“yahoosucks”, it is the faith of mature Christian believers that the deity revealed through covenant as “the God of Israel” is also the one, true GOD, who has created heaven and earth; who has appeared to mankind in flesh as Jesus Christ; and is acknowledged in new covenant as “the Father.”  Through Israel GOD has shown himself a deliverer, a judge, a healer, a ruler, even, one who raises the dead.  Bible-believing Christians embrace the GOD who is recorded as having operated among those who entered covenant with Moses.  The guidance and instruction in the holy writings have been examined and confirmed through thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  Consider then the clear doctrine, prophecy, and teachings that proclaim GOD in the following verses:

(1.)  Revelation 14:  6-7, King James Version (KJV):  6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,  7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come:  and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

(2.)  Isaiah 63:  15-16, KJV:  15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory:  where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?  16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not:  thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

(3.)  1st Timothy 3:  16, KJV:  16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:  God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

(4.)  1st Chronicles 29:  10-13, KJV:  10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation:  and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.  11 Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:  for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.  12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.  13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

(5.)  Matthew 6:  9-10, KJV:  9 After this manner therefore pray ye:  Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

There are many other verses that should be carefully examined, correctly understood, and applied for power against error.  (For example, (6.)  Ephesians 5:  1-2, KJV:  1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;  2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
