(05/13/2015) Saved by His Death?

Today, benefits believers receive through the eternal life and priesthood of Jesus Christ are considered.  While ones sacred knowledge would not be complete without essentials on the themes of death, judgment, faith, forgiveness and sin, the truths most vital to the new life in Christ are expressed by such concepts as exclusive devotion to the true GOD, the beauty of holiness, shared identity, inheritance, fulfillment through intimate relationship with divinity, revelation of Deity as an endless process, the sharing of divine substance, and the permanence of spirit content as immortal, immutable and incorruptible.  The writer at “Yahoo! How did Christ's death saved us? How did his death made it possible for us to have life after death?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.  Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.  (Hebrews 2:  14-18, KJV)

“surv Pele” here are a few points important to Christian believers who receive benefit by the eternal life of Jesus:

(1.)  The multiple aspects of salvation accomplished by the crucifixion of Jesus include the actualization of divine utterance (we say, the word made flesh; fulfillment of promise and prophecy); affirmation of the Mosaic covenant with proclamation of a new testament; provision of the necessary sacrifice that meets the demands of all ceremonial law and divine practice for atonement of sin both upon the earth and in heaven.

(2.)  The Savior’s living ministry replaces old language, meanings and understandings through an intimate relationship with Deity (described as Father and Son).  Instead of “life after death,” it is now more correct to say, eternal life with the brief interruption of death, or life in spite of death.  Sacred operations are clarified, demonstrated, and taught including baptism, forgiveness, prayer, rebirth, resurrection, sanctification, wisdom and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Given the original divine intent that mankind should exist as a companion to divinity, Jesus appeared as an High Priest to complete and finish spiritual works begun in heaven that already had been introduced to the earth to complete mortality and other temporal conditions.  At his second coming, the transformation of mankind will be completed.  All who belong to Christ will be made immortal and incorruptible.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Christ was a shield blocking, limiting and receiving blows, yet, not eliminating or removing the operations of sin.  In the person of Christ, the character and nature of divine judgment are substantiated, and further shown to be balanced, consistent with eternal purpose, impartial, indispensable, just, responsive, and righteous.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
