(07/16/2017) Becoming Free From Sin

Today, reply is made on the difficulty of becoming free from sin.  Created beings and living creatures are to be vessels containing divine law, praise, and the inseparable aspects of divinity.  Included are balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, sobriety, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Freedom from sin may be apprehended only through the operations of divinity.  Sin is an enigma for the living.  The operations of sin may be described as appearing when spirit content from the makeup of divinity is absent, or diminished.  Sin does not exist as independent, or as having form like a material object; yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence.  As the offspring of Adam, men do inherit physical characteristics, behavioral inclinations, traits, and various limits to human possibilities.  Even so, as with talking about the abstractions “mind” and “psyche”, our speaking of a “sin nature” is a device and an overlay from language, and there is no actual artifact, material object, or measurable substance that is “sin”.  Sin has not been eliminated by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross; nonetheless, through his ministries on the earth and from the heaven, the living receive endowments of Spirit from GOD whereby they discern, recognize, and resist the operations of sin.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Why is it difficult to get out of sin?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua.  Why? Because the Torah of the Spirit, which produces this life in union with Messiah Yeshua, has set me free from the “Torah” of sin and death.  For what the Torah could not do by itself, because it lacked the power to make the old nature cooperate, God did by sending his own Son as a human being with a nature like our own sinful one [but without sin].  God did this in order to deal with sin, and in so doing he executed the punishment against sin in human nature,  so that the just requirement of the Torah might be fulfilled in us who do not run our lives according to what our old nature wants but according to what the Spirit wants.  For those who identify with their old nature set their minds on the things of the old nature, but those who identify with the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.  Having one’s mind controlled by the old nature is death, but having one’s mind controlled by the Spirit is life and shalom.  For the mind controlled by the old nature is hostile to God, because it does not submit itself to God’s Torah — indeed, it cannot.  Thus, those who identify with their old nature cannot please God.  But you, you do not identify with your old nature but with the Spirit — provided the Spirit of God is living inside you, for anyone who doesn’t have the Spirit of the Messiah doesn’t belong to him.  (Romans 8:  1-9, Complete Jewish Bible, CJB)

“Salazar”, for Christian believers, the correct knowledge of sin requires a correct awareness of the active presence who is GOD, and his sacred operations as Creator, Law Giver, and Sovereign over all that exists.  Where the living rely on the frameworks of time and space to manipulate data and information as knowledge, the operations of sin mistakenly appear to be everywhere and ever-present (i.e., throughout time and space).  Also, the error that sin is an aspect of human makeup that may not be removed derives from descriptions of life experience and reality that rely on finite tools such as secular knowledge, logic, carnal reason, philosophy, and science.

Many hold that sin is an aspect of human nature, and that the appearance of sin through attitudes, behavior, beliefs, and practice are acceptable and “normal”.  Sin offends the Creator, for sin fosters and promotes the non-existence of GOD and all that Deity has created.  To finite beings, sin is no more than a simple influence, and does not appear as contrary to eternal purposes and human existence.  It remains, however, that the creation of mankind has been by the imparting of divine substance (we say, breath, life essence, spirit, word).

The operations of sin oppose the continued existence of divine law, the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead—the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit), and the divine order appearing as the universe.  Sin may be a residue from the condition of streaming matter (we say, the flux, the chaos) that was in place before the foundation of earth and heaven.  Sin has not been put forth from the spirit content of divinity; sin is not a spirit; and sin is no common object or material thing (e.g., mist, particles, smoke).  Sin has no measurable dimensions (depth, height, weight), yet, the operations of sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures; and can not be eliminated or removed by the living through applications of their own intellect and willpower.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, in the same way divinity inhabits the praises of those who belong to GOD, divinity inhabits divine law.  The living who internalize, obey, and give continual expression to the righteousness of sacred law become free of sin.  Multiple divine operations are in place to cleanse and separate the living from sin.  Included are anointing, atonement, baptism, forgiveness, incarnation, inheritance, judgment, rebirth, sanctification, the embodiment of sin on the cross, and the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
