(10/01/2013) The Power of Death?

Lawful authority over death is the topic, today.  Also, there is more on GOD acknowledging human errors, and the worship of false gods.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Gloria” (Level 3 with 1,176 points, a member since November 30, 2012) posted the following:

There's no death in Heaven. Why was Satan given the power of death?

Hebrews 2:14 New Living Translation: Because God's children are human beings--made of flesh and blood--the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
But why was Satan given the power of death in the first place if there's no death in Heaven?

Jesus, God's only begotten Son was given power to have life in himself John 5:26
Lucifer, God's most beautiful created son was given the power of death,

THE BATTLE AXE:  GOD is Acknowledging (09/30/2013)—By the many commandments forbidding worship of false gods, the Creator acknowledges possibilities for corruption of the spirit content, and resulting errors in the acknowledgment generated as worship from created beings and living creatures.  The law is proclaimed to alert, caution and encourage vigilance against otherwise invisible, irresistible, and undetectable sin.  The truth of one GOD and Creator was witnessed to mankind through Adam and his wife for nearly a millennium, and the angel of divine presence at the entry of Eden was plain evidence to Adam’s priesthood and testimony (see Genesis 3:  1-7 and 22-24, KJV).  Authority embodied within the Patriarchs began to erode as sin continued to operate over time against human awareness, and self-will.  After the Garden of Eden was removed, and by Noah’s day, much of the truth earlier bestowed upon mankind, and maintained through oral tradition, had become eclipsed and replaced by alternative beliefs, and the worship of that that is not GOD.  Through the device of a covenant people, GOD made provision that true worship could be maintained in spite of the influence of Egypt as a one-world empire advancing multiple gods, and spreading spiritual confusion.   Together, the operations of flesh (i.e., appetite, sense, mental functions) along with features of the world (i.e., the man-made system for communication, exchange, and survival) demand the appearance of GOD as idols, and in material forms.  (See the summary at 2nd Kings 17:  1-41, KJV.)  The incarnation of GOD as Jesus Christ has  been accomplished to combat persistent human error, ignorance, pride and the obstacles of flesh to spirit.  Included are hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, fantasy, imagination, projection and recall.  In baptism, Christian believers receive an endowment of divine substance that is directly from the make-up and person of GOD.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.  Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.  And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear:  Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.  Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear not therefore:  ye are of more value than many sparrows.  Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:  But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.  And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.  And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:  For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.  (Luke 12:  1-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  How Could Angels Fall? (07/15/2013); Circumcision and Promise? (07/16/2013); When Does Judgment Begin? (06/27/2013); Our Present Comfort? (06/28/2013); Death Has Been Transformed (05/09/2013); Loving the Enemy? (05/10/2013); Illusion? (04/25/2013); Not of Legal Age? Gloria, here some points of light that will shine more and more brightly for those having new life and rebirth through Jesus Christ;  Christian believers also are granted new ways of thinking and understanding divinity:

(1.)  A lawful “power of death” that may be exercised as an expression of personal desire and self-will has not been freely granted to any created beings and living creatures.  More correctly understood, life is GOD’s intent, and death is GOD’s tool.  Therefore, Christian believers identify the legitimate power of death as an aspect of divine law.  Sin was first realized in heaven among the holy angels, and became more clearly recognized as being corruption (we say, decay, rottenness) when introduced to the earth.  The sentence of death passed upon mankind was proclaimed as a penalty for sin before Adam (the name GOD used for both the male and female) committed any infraction.  The law imparted to the pair was bestowed as respect, trust, and divine utterance, not tables of stone written with the finger of GOD as granted Moses.

(2.)  Dying and death (i.e., the completion of ones mortality) are necessary progressions that occur as changes in the sequence of life operations such as aging, disease, and malnutrition.  We say, there are natural laws established by GOD that govern the breakdown and decay of physical material (flesh; the body) over time.  What’s difficult for many is the idea of a person’s existence continuing after their life is separated from their body with an eventual rejoining (we say, resurrection) of the two for divine judgment.

(3.)  Because many are ignorant of the holy writings, multiple errors are commonly held among us.  (For example, many believe that angels are immortal, that Satan can never be destroyed, and that he is the accuser in final judgment.)  Believers in Jesus Christ are carefully shown that there are two resurrections proclaimed, promised, and prophesied in the Scriptures.  More than this, in addition to the first and second death, there are three divine judgments, the last being for rewards, and only involving those immortal and incorruptible through Christ.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Satan has already lost all the authority, dignity, and power he legitimately exercised within the host of heaven.  Now he must depend upon deceptions, illusions, and lies to satisfy his lusts and purposes.  Apart from the dispensation of GOD as seen in the Book of Job, Satan has no “power of death.”  It is merely the fear of death that Satan commands; and the perfect love of GOD demonstrated through Jesus Christ casts out all fear.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
