(03/04/2018) Fear Of Divine Gifts?

From Pamela “Pamorama” Jones a depiction of the
Tree of Life/Promise of Eternal Life

Today, reply is on having fear of eternal life.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Matt Damon” (Level 3 with 1,636 points, a member since August 24, 2014) posted the following:

Do any believers in life after death find the concept of an eternal life terrifying at all?

Do any of you even have those worries at all? Has it never occurred to you how much scarier the thought of living forever is over just dieing? Does your faith help temper any such worries?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls:  every several gate was of one pearl:  and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.  And I saw no temple therein:  for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it:  for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it:  and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day:  for there shall be no night there.  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.  And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:  but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.  (Revelation 21:  21-27, King James Version, KJV)

“Matt Damon”, among Christian believers, uncertainty and fear of the unknown pertain to the flow of human feelings, thoughts, and events, and do not apply to the multiple streams of truth from GOD that are given as revelation to created beings and living creatures.  The fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) who has put forth all existence and life is making themselves knowable, known, accessible, and approachable.  There is no fear of change, death, divine judgment, sacred law, life, resurrection, or trusting the sovereign will of GOD that proceeds from divinity.  Sinners are to embrace a full system of sacred knowledge in place of secular knowledge wherein “eternity” and “immortality” are correctly realized as aspects of duration not periods within the finite frameworks of time and space.

Divine utterances (i.e., breath; life essence; proclamation; promises; prophecy; spirit; Word) are the platform for Christian faith, and holy boldness.  The inborn spirit within sinners who are willing to be “born again” must die, be buried, and raised from the dead, so to speak.  Divine seed/DNA is imparted from the makeup of GOD whereby the sinner is born again, becomes a vessel of divine substance, and will exist as a son or daughter of GOD.  Those “born again” must “grow up again” by living, and meeting life challenges on the earth that include bereavement, disappointments, “growing pains,” hardship, and suffering.  Developing believers are to become ripe (mature) for harvest by the Lord at his coming (we also say, Advent, his appearing, the Rapture, the Second Coming).

The teachings on the first and second death, first and second resurrection with a first and second judgment do generate intense and troubling questions that, at first, appear to have no answer from GOD.  Even so, the operations of salvation include such elements as discovery, fellowship within a community of believers, forgiveness, gradual growth, lovingkindness, praise, prayer, regular study of the holy writings, sharing, unselfish service, and spirit-filled worship.  Eternal life means the end of many familiar things we think must exist for human life (e.g., covetousness, enmity, mortality; presumption, exaggerated pride; sorrow).  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Joshua 1:  8-9, King James Version (KJV):  8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:  for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

(2.)  Romans 8:  14-18, KJV:  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

(3.)  Hebrews 9:  24-28, KJV:  24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:  25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;  26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world:  but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.  27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

(4.)  Revelation 20:  6, KJV:  6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:  on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Revelation 21:  1-8, KJV:  1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:  for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:  for the former things are passed away.  5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write:  for these words are true and faithful.  6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
