Today, points are shared on why the revelation of divinity to created beings and living creatures also used judgments and plagues against Egypt, and the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart. The hardening of ones heart is the closing out and rejection of expressions of love. For the one-time work that GOD would do on the earth by creating a new nation as a peculiar and a holy people, the lukewarm heart of Pharaoh had to be crystallized and made firm in its opposition to true Deity. One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shared) posted the following:
Why did god harden pharoah's heart, was he afraid pharaoh might let his people go before he could punish them with all those plagues?
THE GOLDEN ARROW: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3: 15-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, as sinners, we attribute the goodness of GOD to chance, luck, other people, etc. Thus, we also often overlook and fail to see many important points of divine truth that are needed to correctly apprehend the sacred meaning of the Exodus from Egypt. Consider the following points:
1. Israel was sanctified, and separated from a one-world culture and empire that was dominated by a single human ruler, Pharaoh. As keepers of livestock, and those who maintained ancient traditions of worship that had been given to Adam by GOD, the sons of Jacob were to receive atonement for sin by making offerings and sacrifices of animal blood; and this was forbidden by the Egyptians as being an abomination.
2. During the years of famine, the Egyptian people sold their livestock, their land, and themselves as slaves to Pharaoh. However, Joseph and his people remained free. Egypt did not allow the Hebrews to fully assimilate into their society, and eventually many forms of bias, discrimination, and prejudice were practiced against the Hebrews.
3. Among Christian believers, ancient Egypt continues to be a symbol of idolatry, occult practices (i.e., magic, sorcery, witchcraft), and spiritual confusion. In the same way, without divine law and apart from GOD, men fail to realize that the operations of sin are contrary to the continued existence and makeup of humanity, few among the Egyptians were able to realize the wickedness of Pharaoh ruling as the source of all law, as one having absolute authority over life and death, and as one accounting himself a divine person. Had Pharaoh released and supplied the Israelites, showing them favor, there would have been endorsement of the impression that sin is harmless, has great benefit, and a man on the earth who is a “good leader” may reign in the place of Deity. The arrogance, cruelty, exaggerated pride, selfishness, and weakness of Pharaoh had to be demonstrated and revealed.
There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. The divine process for mankind has to be one of transformation and undergoing permanent changes throughout ones inner makeup. Divine law must be internalized within a focused consciousness and process of self-will that acknowledges the continuing presence of eternal purpose and divine substance (we say, breath, life essence, spirit, Word). Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
