(02/16/2017) Warnings Against Forgetting GOD?

Jesus Healing the Man Blind From Birth

Today, focus is on language in Scripture warning against presumption, exaggerated pride, and self-will.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (India)” using the ID “Breakthrough” (Level 6 with 15,801 points, a member since June 29, 2013) posted the following:

Why does the bible say "you might say, my power and the strength of my hands have created this wealth for me."?
That would imply that acquiring wealth requires a lot of sacrifice and hard work and it doesn't come easily - even to the obedient who do what the bible says.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:  And call upon me in the day of trouble:  I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.  But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?  Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.  When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.  Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.  Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.  These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself:  but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.  Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me:  and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.  (Psalms 50:  14-23, King James Version, KJV)

“Breakthrough”, using the holy writings men on the earth are being alerted to human error and exaggerated pride regarding divine truth.  Awareness and self-will in the living may be dominated by sin, a non-material, non-spirit influence that opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the divine order through law that generates the universe.  Focus on oneself, carnal reason, emotions and sensations along with the complexities of social process (e.g., communication, exchange, interaction, sharing) make mankind incapable of seeing naturally that the true character and substance of sin is contrary and foreign to all existence and life.  In addition to failing to correctly discern the operations and outcomes of sin, created beings and living creatures (even those who are “believers”) may become “blind” to the active presence of divinity.  GOD is a spirit, and therefore must be known by the living through the action of spirit material within themselves that was passed on to us as breath and life essence (we say, spirit, word) deposited from the makeup of divinity at Creation.  Fresh endowments of spirit will be received by those who are “born again” that make GOD knowable, known, unforgettable, and “visible”.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Consider again the following from the Scriptures:
(1.)  Judges 7:  1-4, King James Version (KJV):  1 Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod:  so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.  2 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.  3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.  4 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there:  and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
(2.)  Daniel 4:  30-33, KJV:  30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?  31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.  32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field:  they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.  33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar:  and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.
(3.)  John 9:  39-41, KJV:  39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.  40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?  41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin:  but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  2nd Corinthians 4:  3-7, KJV:  3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.  6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
