Today, reply is made on how believers are to treat others who are in and outside of the church. Christians are to be loving, yet, cautious in all their relationships. In the same way many demands and standards for Canadian citizens will be different from that for travelers and tourists from other nations who are passing through their territory, the duty, law, spiritual provisions, and requirements for Christian believers will be different from those for unrepentant sinners who are not in Christ. Because believers seek to be balanced, consistent, and stable in their dealings, most will show the same demeanor and manner (face) to everyone. However, believers also understand there are many who will despise the mercy of GOD, and are pursuing deceit, disbelief, hate, malice, slander, and wickedness to their own destruction. Mature Christians will continually acknowledge that all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD; and there are only two kinds of people in the world (repentant and unrepentant sinners). “Boyle”, Christian believers all are called into continuing the work Jesus Christ began upon the earth. Believers are to appear as the image of Christ through their lifestyles, relationships, and daily living routines, not simply by church attendance, religious ceremonies, and rituals. In water baptism sinners are to experience death and burial of their inborn spirit, and rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak. They must receive inseparable aspects of spirit content from the makeup of GOD such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, and wrath against sin. Those who are “born again” must then “grow up again” and become mature by meeting the same “growing pains” and life challenges as others upon the earth. There is always great diversity within a congregation or community of faith, for there will be believers at multiple stages of emotional, intellectual, physical, and psychological growth as well as those on varying levels of spiritual authority, experience, and understanding. Even so, there must be a shared movement toward oneness without sameness (we say, unity). To correctly address the needs of those within the body, all believers must become sanctified (cleansed, healed, and set apart to serve divinity), acquire sacred knowledge, and master applying sacred skill and wisdom. Then they can be acknowledged as prepared to comfort, edify and exhort (we say, prophecy) as authentic servants of Christ. Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:
(1.) 1st John 1: 5-7, King James Version (KJV): 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
(2.) 1st Corinthians 1: 9-10, KJV: 9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
(3.) Ephesians 4: 11-16, KJV: 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
