(07/21/2016) Access Through The Son

Access to full divinity, and possibility for personal relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ are the focus, today.  A better covenant, a greater revelation, a new testament, and better promises have been provided to the living with assurances that include the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Because sinners now receive fresh endowments of spirit substance from the makeup of divinity, modern believers may spiritually surpass the patriarchs Adam, Abraham, Noah and Moses.  Disciples and followers of the Lord are a “new creation” set apart through atonement, the blood and body of Jesus, faith, forgiveness, gifts of the Spirit, new life, prophecy, and the ministry of reconciliation.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information available) posted the following:
How did so many modern Christians get to know God better than did Adam & Eve, Abraham, or Moses?
God did a few things that took those characters from the Old Testament by surprise. For instance, Abraham either didn't expect God to tell him to kill his son, or he didn't expect to have the order rescinded at the last second.
According to the fables, these are people who held normal conversations directly with God on a regular basis. Yet today's Christians will tell you all sorts of things about what God wants or what he will do.
So how did they get to know God better than the people who God used to hang out with and include as the main characters in his stories about his exploits?
Update: It looks like the common answer is "They read the Bible". So I should be able to get to know Donald Trump better than his closest friends do by reading his book?
THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  (2nd Peter 1:  2-11, King James Version, KJV)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Knowing GOD For Yourself (07/13/2016); Access Through The Cross? (05/11/2016); Confession and The Cross (03/25/2016); Endowed With Spirit? (05/08/2015); A Personal Relationship? “Anonymous”, modern believers have access to divinity through sacred provisions that include contemplation, fellowship with one another, praise, prayer, and the holy writings.  More than this, there are many mature Christian believers who “know GOD better” than Adam, Moses, or you and I because they correctly avail themselves of the continuous access to divinity, and intimate relationship with the Creator through the divine person of his Son and the imparted, indwelling Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  So to speak, by being alive and present within the person of Jesus, sinners have benefit as those under atoning blood who are reconciled to the Most High, sanctified, and saved from all purifying destruction yet to come.  More than simply being “credited” with the attitude, obedience and works performed by the Lord, or having status as reborn, redeemed and renewed the sinner is to know a condition of immersion within all holiness, and oneness through the Lord that is more than a substitution, or symbolic and vicarious standing with the GODhead accomplished by empathy, imagination, and knowledge.  The sinner is to have “first hand” contact as a vessel of divine spirit following permanent changes while upon the earth, and a full transformation of the believer to exist as immortal and incorruptible at the coming of Jesus.  Consider again how some of this is stated in the language of the Bible:
(1.)  1st John 1:  3-7, King James Version (KJV):  3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us:  and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.  4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.  5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
(2.)   Ephesians 2:  1-6, KJV:  1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;  2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:  3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.  4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
(3.)  Hebrews 9:  11-15, KJV:  11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;  12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:  14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
(4.)  Hebrews 10:  19-22, KJV:  19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,  20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;  21 And having an high priest over the house of God;  22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (5.)  Romans 5:  1-5, KJV:  1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also:  knowing that tribulation worketh patience;  4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:   5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
