Today,
points are shared on the importance of applying ones intelligence for
success in new life as a Christian believer. More often than not, those
who can’t be reasoned with and who express disbelief in GOD are
responding to and relying upon attitudes, emotions, impressions, and
misinformation, and have made no mature or thorough examination—that
should include some time spent living life in the Spirit—for
the claims of GOD in Christ. Given the need for operations of the
Spirit from GOD, for the Christian, academic skills, secular knowledge,
literacy, and popular culture often are irrelevant, or of little value.
Even so, the formal methods, process and techniques for formulating
life questions and securing practical answers continue to have value,
and are vital. Hear again the Scriptures, and consider the presentation
below:
Deuteronomy 29: 29, King James Version (KJV): 29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Romans 12: 1-2, KJV:
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Hosea 4: 6-10, KJV:
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no
priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will
also forget thy children. 7 As they were increased, so they sinned
against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. 8
They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their
iniquity. 9 And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will
punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. 10 For they
shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall
not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
Romans 8: 5-9, KJV:
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;
but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to
be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is
enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the
Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8: 13-17, KJV:
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many
as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye
have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The
Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children
of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

How is it possible for Intelligent people to be Christians?
THE GOLDEN ARROW: As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so
walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the
faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after
the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after
Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And
ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and
power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made
without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the
circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are
risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who
hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him,
having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of
ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it
out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled
principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing
over them in it. (Colossians 2: 6-15, KJV)

“Spunky”,
becoming a mature Christian believer can not be accomplished without
correctly applying ones intelligence. For the Christian, contemplation,
dialog, and study are crucial. Even so, the finite tools of logic,
philosophy, science and technology are not enough to eliminate and
remove sin from the earth. Those who come to the Lord direct their
awareness and self-will in a continuing process of growth and learning
to acquire sacred knowledge as well as to nourish and increase
their own spirit substance. As a follower of Jesus, the born-again
believer will encounter multiple issues having depth, range and scope
upon a cosmic level that are characterized by subtlety (i.e.,
having barely visible differences, fine details, hidden shifts in
meaning and value). It is not impossible to gain a new and vibrant
relationship with the Creator, however, such “new life” is only by the
operations and provisions of divinity. Those who are “born again” must
go on to “mature again” by facing life challenges upon the earth. In
addition to rebirth that deposits spirit content from the makeup of
Deity (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, wrath against sin),
disciples of Christ are to cooperate with authority, endure suffering,
continue study of the holy writings, practice fellowship with more
mature believers, maintain praise and prayer, sacrifice, and serve
unselfishly. The life and work of a Christian believer is by no means
mindless, or rooted in ignorance, animal instinct, intuition, and
superstition. There are to be balance, focus, and eternal purpose.
Consider how this is stated in the language of the Bible:
(1.)
John 3: 6-8, King James Version (KJV): 6 That which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind
bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst
not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that
is born of the Spirit.
(2.)
1st Thessalonians 5: 20-22, KJV: 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all
appearance of evil.
(3.) Psalms 119: 98-103, KJV: 98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are
ever with me. 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for
thy testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the
ancients, because I keep thy precepts. 101 I have refrained my feet
from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. 102 I have not
departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
There
are many other verses that should be carefully considered, correctly
understood, and made a part of ones spiritual treasure. (For example,
(4.) 2nd Timothy 2: 14-16, KJV: 14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but
to the subverting of the hearers. 15 Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for
they will increase unto more ungodliness.) Even so, I trust this
fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
