“Anonymous”, here are a few points from Christ to dispel spiritual confusion and ignorance regarding divine power. Focus is to shift from controlling natural phenomena in the earth to completing sacred operations and fulfilling eternal purposes (e.g., atonement, propitiation, sanctification):
(1.) John 3: 11-13, KJV: 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
(2.) 1st Corinthians 1: 18-19, KJV: 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
(3.) Acts 4: 33, KJV: 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
(4.) Romans 1: 3-5, KJV: 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
