(04/12/2015) Power Against Sin?

Today, points are shared on divine power against sin.  Christian believers are provided with sacred knowledge that describes power as more than simply ability to alter and change material Creation, or to express anger, death, punishment, and wrath against sin.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Luke Five:twenty four Luke 21:36 22:69?

[Luke 5:  24, King James Version (KJV):  24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

Luke 21:  36, KJV:  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 22:  69, KJV:  Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.]

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!  Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.  For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness:  thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.  He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.  His glory is great in thy salvation:  honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.  For thou hast made him most blessed for ever:  thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.  For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.  Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies:  thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.  Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger:  the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.  Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.  For they intended evil against thee:  they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.  Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.  Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength:  so will we sing and praise thy power.  (Psalms 21:  1-13, KJV)

“Anonymous”, here are a few points from Christ to dispel spiritual confusion and ignorance regarding divine power.  Focus is to shift from controlling natural phenomena in the earth to completing sacred operations and fulfilling eternal purposes (e.g., atonement, propitiation, sanctification):

(1.)  John 3:  11-13, KJV:  11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.  12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 1:  18-19, KJV:  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

(3.)  Acts 4:  33, KJV:  33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus:  and great grace was upon them all.

(4.)  Romans 1:  3-5, KJV:  3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;  4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:  5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

(5.)  Romans 8:  8-10, KJV:  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.)  Revelation 20:  6, KJV:  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:  on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.
