The covenant law, the Advent of the Holy Spirit, and more on how GOD is revealed to mankind are topics, today. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “CheerBaby94” (Level 2 with 445 points, a member since June 22, 2011) posted the following:
Why would it be significant for the Holy Spirit to come during the feast of Pentecost?
Additional Details
As in; the feast of Pentecost to Jews is the day that God the gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai, so why is it significant for The Holy Spirit to come during that Jewish feast? ********
THE BATTLE AXE: GOD Hiding in Plain Sight (03/26/2013)—GOD is spirit, and must appear in human awareness by using forms and objects that may come under the operations of flesh (appetite, sense, mind, desire, etc.). Through breakdowns, distortions and lapses that occur there is a great risk for increase of spiritual confusion. Even so, GOD cloaks divinity to be silent and unseen. Only where an active search for access to GOD is made does one experience the many levels of growth and movement that lift the living beyond space and time, and that establish continuing fellowship with the Holy. Forced to hunger, thirst and work for our visions of righteousness displaying our GOD, we value more the demonstrations and gifts that evidence his being. Included are the rainbow about his shoulders; the holy writings; the cross; the imparted, indwelling Sprit of Jesus; and the law written on the tables of our hearts.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle. And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp. And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’s people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them! (Numbers 11: 24-29, King James Version)

May I share some of what has been shared from GOD with me:
In general, the annual feasts observed among the Jews were established as frameworks for continuing (1) sacred inheritance, and (2) the priesthood of Israel as a covenant nation (see Exodus 23: 14-17, KJV). Attendance was commanded by GOD, first at the Tabernacle, later at the Temple in Jerusalem, for all the firstborn (who would eventually be heirs), and for the heads of every family.
Pentecost (the 50th day following Passover) is also called the Feast of Weeks, the Feast of Harvests, and the Day of the First Fruits. Pentecost was a time of celebration and fulfillment. Held at the end of wheat harvest, Pentecost was observed to commemorate the giving of the law, and also was a time of abundance and celebration comparable to the seasons of sheep shearing.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the 120 that tarried at Jerusalem in obedience to Jesus represented his harvest of the earth. Many were from Galilee and were seen as clearly “taken out.” These were to be the “first fruits” of his earthly ministry as well as joint-heirs with him as son of the Highest (see Acts 2: 12-14, Acts 2: 1-4, and Acts 2: 37-41, KJV). The church began through a manifesting of divine presence (spirit) to fulfill divine word (spirit).) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
