The divine device of fathers and sons is our topic, today; and there is more on the love of GOD. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Haley” (Level 1 with 91 points, a member since March 1, 2013) posted the following:
Why does god need a son?

THE BATTLE AXE: The Love of GOD (03/03/2013)—We should not be disturbed that we do not understand everything in an instance and all-at-once. There are things hidden and unexplained even among the Host of heaven. Divine love is made visible to us all by such aspects of communion as compassion, forbearance, forgiveness, mercy, patience, and longsuffering. As sons and daughters to GOD through Jesus Christ, believers are not commanded to despise or hate Satan. As we mature, and are lead to understand the predicament that comes by sin, we recognize the extremity of all those who are lost, including those among the holy angels. More than through friendship, marriage and relationships based upon mutual acceptance and commitment, understanding the love of GOD is acquired by growth through experiences of fulfilling spiritual duty. One may be required to carry out and perform tasks pertaining to the will of GOD that absolutely must be completed within a fixed period without complaints, grumbling, ill-temper, and protest; without delay, hesitation and lingering; without detailed and full information regarding consequences, intent, purpose and value for ones actions as well as without regard to the various costs that may include energy, money, pleasure and time, that may result in damage, injury, personal loss and sacrifice, and that may also result in death, elimination and status as “obsolete.” The importance of such elements as choice, preference, self-will, and beginner or volunteer status are canceled; nevertheless—like it, don’t like it—the duty must be fulfilled. Such elements must appear as allegiance, commitment, conviction, dedication, dependability, devotion, faithfulness, loyalty, reliability, and trustworthiness. In addition to such duties as preaching and proclaiming the Gospel, all believers in Jesus as their Redeemer and Savior are challenged to fulfill sacred duties that include confessing their faults, needs, sins and weaknesses; giving and sharing unselfishly; intercession on behalf of others; always speaking the truth; showing compassion and respect to all; living lives of repentance and preparation for the Advent of Christ; and praying without ceasing. The specific tasks believers are assigned always fit with and support actions,
and works by others and by GOD. Thus, it is the interconnection,
interdependence and harmony of our works that generate the awareness,
cooperation, teamwork and unity we see in the peculiar association and
fellowship known as “the body” and “the church.” Those that are incapable of receiving the spirit substance that enables action, change and growth that displays the divine will are also incapable of receiving spirit content that establishes eternal life.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. (Isaiah 55: 7-12, King James Version)

Haley, be encouraged as you consider the following: GOD understands that mankind needs to communicate directly with himself in order to correctly receive place within the fullness of the universe. The importance of a “son” of GOD is as great as the importance for a “son of man.” Through human reproduction, various possibilities are established for finite and temporal mankind to be in continuing and productive existence, and to realize relationship with the eternal Creator. Men are to understand that GOD is a spirit, and ordinarily has no form, shape or visible appearance. More than this, divine existence, intent, operation and sacred purpose are not typically bounded and framed by the aspects for human mind supplied as time and space.
GOD reveals himself to created beings and living creatures through various devices, mechanisms, and sacred processes. Included are birth, covenant, creation, death, incarnation, inheritance, judgment, law, proclamation, promise, prophecy, rebirth, repentance, and sanctification. The word of GOD also is spirit (we sometimes say “breath”); and operates as a distinct appearance of divine person. The divine word is to be understood as making the will of GOD known, and must be recognized primarily by its effect and presence for, through and upon created beings and objects that may be carnal, material, social, or spirit.
The promises of GOD to one man, who at some point must die and complete mortality, (e.g., Adam, Abraham, or David) are lawfully and properly carried over and fulfilled within the life of other men who are shaped in the same personness and values of their “father.” Given that men may understand and perform duty as sons to complete and perpetuate earthly goals and standards given by their fathers, the device of a divine son is used to achieve divine aims and imperatives that include furthering the possibilities for the divine nature to reside within humanity.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the appearance of GOD incarnate (i.e., in flesh) as Jesus of Nazareth should be easy to accept as an emblem of the supreme authority, glory and majesty of GOD. Thousands of years and human lives were used to prepare mankind for that event. The holiness, power, and purity of GOD are not defiled or lessened through operations of divine prerogative and righteousness for the salvation of created beings and living creatures.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
