The human spirit, self-will and the substance of divinity are topics, today.
THE BATTLE AXE: The Spirit is Willing (10/20/2012)—In the Holy Bible, various mechanisms of the flesh are labeled “the carnal mind” (see Romans 8, KJV). Such features as appetite, emotion, and passion may activate the mind, and human self-will; also, spirit within the living may trigger responses by the self-will. However, human self-will is limited in its power to move the inborn spirit, or to control the elements of the flesh. Thus, the will may initiate a series of actions to satisfy hunger or thirst, yet one cannot eliminate bodily needs simply by focusing their will without also taking action directed by thought. The spirit often stirs the will to physical action that the body and mind are unable to execute. Rightly understood, the carnal mind is enmity against divine will in the sense that, the carnal mind has not been designed to acknowledge and obey divine will. So to speak, the carnal mind—and the carnal man—are not equipped to obey Almighty GOD perfectly, even where self-will urges them to do so. Human self-will (for want of a better word, “endowed-will”) is often believed the same in substance as divine will (“source-will”), and only different in degree. The Gospel of Jesus Christ favors the idea that conflict between endowed-will in humankind against source-will within divine person result from differences in spirit. Human will cannot generate or produce divine will; nor can human spirit generate or produce divine spirit. Through the ministry of Jesus, mankind is now offered an added endowment of divine spirit, (called the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy). The substance of divine person is imparted as a living presence to indwell the born-again believer.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Revelation 22: 8-18, King James Version)
THE DOUBLE DAGGER: The Spirit is Willing (10/20/2012); Sin Unknown? (10/10/2012); The Gender of Angels? (10/09/2012); When Prayer Works (10/11/2012); Jesus, King of Earth? (10/07/2012); How Was GOD Known Before Jesus? (10/06/2012); Does GOD Feel? (10/05/2012)
Mature Christian believers generally accept the doctrine that GOD is a spirit, and we must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4: 22-24, KJV). Divine being is manifest, or made known and visible through spirit matter. While spirit matter cannot be described as having dimension, form, mass and shape, Almighty GOD has revealed many truths that allow created beings and living creatures to know the makeup and substance of Divine Person. Because material substance, and objects encountered in time and space appeal to aspects of awareness and self-will in created beings (such as appetite, sensation and imagination), living creatures do not easily recognize and respond to spirit matter. Spirit matter is acknowledged and discovered by practicing discernment, that is, using things with clear spirit content as standards for comparing, contrasting, and examining any other things promoted as also being spiritual in nature, or containing spirit substance.
Each angelic and human being contains a portion of spirit matter that has been put forth from GOD, and that, in fact, is GOD. Animals, insects, and creatures spoken into existence appear as configurations of “word”; and word is spirit matter directed as “breath” or utterance. The holy scriptures convey spirit matter engaging human consciousness as word. While blood is material, blood conveys spirit matter that is life. Animation, existence, life and presence are dynamic effects of spirit matter. Spirit-beings, such as the angels, the sacred beasts of heaven, and the 24 elders, are created and put forth by Almighty GOD, and do not encompass and include the same fullness of spirit matter as the Creator. Divine being is the only source for spirit matter, and for all existence.
The spirit matter of GOD, the elements or features that make up sacred person includes faith, forgiveness, grace, holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, love, righteousness, truth, will, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Each consists entirely of unique spirit matter. Therefore, holiness is comprised of holiness, love of only love, and righteousness is purely of righteousness. As divine substance, this spirit matter is inseparable (where one is found, all appear); and divine spirit matter (also called “divinity”) is found in full scale and boundless proportion only within the Oneness that is GOD.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the endowment of spirit matter imparted to the holy angels at Creation cannot be increased. Presently, mankind may be re-directed to GOD by added deposits of spirit matter; however, once mankind is sealed in spirit, they will be fixed in their spirit matter as are the angels.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
