(11/09/2018) Preparing For The Rapture

The image above depicts the first resurrection of the dead at the Second Coming.

Today, reply is on how those alive now are to prepare for the sacred events that will occur at the Second Coming of Jesus (we also say, Advent; his appearing; the harvest; the Rapture). The followers of Jesus have been given many assurances (for example, the following from Titus 2: 11-14, King James Version (KJV): 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.) One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shared) posted this question:

How to prepare to the rapture?

Some people are doing letters to the left behind.
What to do with things, bank account etc?
Should the saved not buy new things?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4: 5-8, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Salvation Must Be Eternal (11/06/2018); A Short Time Left (10/30/2018); Judgment Will Occur Forever (10/10/2018); Christian Beliefs Are Forward-looking (09/23/2018); Believers Must Become “Ripe” (09/02/2018); Why Paul Observed Tradition (07/10/2018); “The End Is Near” (03/14/2018); Duties of a Christian? (03/13/2018); The Coming(s) of Christ (03/11/2018); Loving Someone Unseen? (05/03/2014); Lot and the Angels (05/04/2014)

Anonymous”, for those alive today, here are some points that mature Christian believers are willing to consider:

1. The full gospel, ministry, and testimony in his blood by Jesus Christ provided to prepare mankind for the divine works of their final judgment and transformation to exist as companions to GOD is a finished sacred work, and nothing need be added to it. Believers are to continue in communion with one another and with divinity through godliness, praise, prayer, sharing, unselfish service, and suffering.

2. Sinners who become “born again” also are to “grow up again” (mature; ripen). As developing believers, and the new creation of Jesus Christ those in repentance must undergo permanent changes that include coming under the atoning blood of Christ; conforming to the image of Christ (we also say, displaying Christ-likeness); embracing eternal purpose; and adopting sacred practices (e.g., baptism, childbearing, confession, marriage, prophecy, sanctification).

3. All who belong to Christ will receive and serve as vessels containing a fresh endowment of inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD. Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, vigilance, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Through admonitions, cautions, prophecy and warnings, Christian believers have been commanded and foretold the sacred events to expect (i.e., what to hope for) throughout the holy writings. Thus, Romans 8: 5-9, King James Version (KJV): 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
