(01/04/2015) More Than Conquerors?

Divine love, eternal life and relationship with divinity are topics, today.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Bruce” (Level 7 with 101,424 points, a member since August 07, 2007) posted the following:

Does "nothing can separate us from the love of God" include our own decisions and actions?

Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:  and whom he called, them he also justified:  and whom he justified, them he also glorified.  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  (Romans 8:  28-37, KJV)

“Bruce”, here are a few points important to Christian believers that may not be familiar to you, yet, you should find them useful for more complete understanding:

(1.)  Believers are granted a new life through Jesus Christ that goes beyond commitment or decisions generated by finite human awareness (we say, imagination, intellect, perception), or the exercise of self-will (we say, choice, motivation, will-power).  In the same way the mind of Adam (the male) was totally inactive in sleep, and he received the female without knowledge and participation in the divine act of her creation, through various operations performed by the Holy Spirit, a person receives a fresh endowment of sacred substance from the makeup of Deity.  Believers experience a continuous process of growth and learning as aspects of permanent change for their eternal life.

(2.)  Believers are endowed with divine content such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Thus, believers voice declarations from Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, and what they utter (we say, breath, spirit, word) expresses divine intent, ownership of Creation, purpose, sovereignty, and unity among the persons of GODhead (we say, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

(3.)  The nature of divine love must come into view.  Simply put, GOD is a spirit (we say, active presence) who is not dependent upon carnal, material or physical dimension and form, yet, now eternally exists incarnate as Jesus Christ with all the fullness of humanity.  Through Jesus, divine relationships with created beings and living creatures may be described using their language and symbols that imply equality, parity, and sameness.  Yet, those whose existence derive from divinity are not established and maintained as believers through the limited interactions of affection, animal instinct, emotion, intelligence and intuition.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  On the one hand, the spread of Christian belief is a process that focuses upon imparting Spirit.  On the other hand, the spread of doctrine and truth is a social event.  The foundation for the Gospel was the covenant of Moses that had endured the assault of multiple cultures, kingdoms, and one-world Empires:  the Egyptians, the Unified Kingdom, Solomon, Rehoboam, Jeroboam, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Romans.  Thus, entering the covenant through Jesus Christ is to be understood as initiating a relationship on the basis of divine terms that will never be divinely terminated, and that has such provisions as atonement from sin and resurrection from the dead to ensure its continuity.  Salvation, in effect, is the acknowledgement that ones own eternal life has already begun.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
