Changes in behavior during the Christmas season, the spontaneous holiday truce during WWI, and operations by the Holy Spirit are topics, today. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Wala” (Level 1 with 19 points, a member since May 11, 2014) posted the following:
Why are people kind and helpful to others only during Christmas but on normal days its everyone for themselves?
For example back in WW 1 the soldiers had a Christmas truce where they wont fight on Christmas. In my opinion if you chose to be nice only during the holidays you should always be kind not just around Christmas time. Please if anyone can explain, I don't understand.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2: 11-14, KJV)

“Wala”, here are a few points to consider that are often shared among Christian believers, who try to make others happy everyday:
(1.) For many, celebrating and observing Christmas is a peculiar acknowledgment (we also say, worship) of divinity that arises within an individual from their own spiritual substance. Depicted through the birth of Jesus, the giving of the wise men, humility and reverence shown by angels and shepherds, the “Christmas spirit” is one of fellowship and unity with GOD expressed through forgiveness, hope, life, newness, revelation, and salvation.
(2.) Sin is not a spirit, and has not been created by GOD. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the Creation that has divine order generated by law. Sin may dominate finite human awareness and self-will, yet, mankind is capable of receiving and continuously displaying spirit content from the makeup of GOD.
(3.) Through operations that can only be carried out by the Spirit of GOD, the spirit content of mankind is refreshed in baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak). Believers must receive the imparted, indwelling Spirit (also called, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth). The gifts of GOD through the holy child are inseparable aspects of divine content such as faith, holiness, honor, joy, longsuffering, love, nobility, wisdom, and wrath against sin.
There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) For many, Christmas is only a cultural and social pattern that occurs once a year. All living upon the earth must operate within the frameworks of time and space. For those not filled with the Holy Spirit, awareness and self-expression will flow as cycles, discreet episodes, and serial events. Thus, many only feel encouraged to exchange and interact at Christmas because of “busy-ness”, covetousness, envy, peer pressure, and remorse.) I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
