Whether or not GOD seeks
mankind, and mankind seeks Satan is considered along with more on the “lake of
mercy.” A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “grfisgd” (Level 6 with 16,761

following:
Christians, do you agree with these
points?
Satan seeking man (no need for a person to seek
Satan:
verses
(1 Peter 5:8)
"Be alert, be reflective, because your enemy Satan
roars like a lion and is walking and seeking whom he may devour."
Jesus knocking at the door verse:
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with me."
Additional Details
Just trying to write my own notes through study.
And I sorta learned this in my own way of understanding.
1. God, Jesus, asks us (His children) to come to
Him. He wants us to believe in Him so we can be saved. So does God seek man or
should man seek God?
2. Opposite of that, Satan seeks God's children
instead of people seeking Satan (occults, witchcraft influences, earthly,
materialistic things etc.)So its possible regardless of belief Satan will enter
someone life without them seeking Satan. Opposite of Jesus knocking at your
door. Satan just invites himself in your house.
THE BATTLE AXE: The “Lake of
Mercy” (11/03/2012)—With the removal of all believers in Christ who are vessels
of his life and spirit, the earth will become dark and joyless. Those that are
made slaves to sin eventually have no power to resist, and are deprived of all
self-will, and sacred understanding. Altered by sin, angels, men and other
beings lose the divine endowment that established ones authority, ones identity
as a created being or living creature, and ones power to operate within
frameworks of time and space. Those consigned to the lake of destruction are
empty and void of divinity; they exist, however, they do not have life (i.e.,
being, godliness, and person). As corrupt, lifeless objects (we could say
“rubbish”) they do not call forth benevolence and kindness. The figure of a
lake (a pool and standing body of water, instead of running water like a river
or stream), pictures a finite and limited natural resource that is nonetheless
abundant, bounteous, and measureless. The fearful torment to those left behind
at the Rapture is not that described by physical pain. The spiritual condition
of the wicked is to be seen as an unbearable separation from GOD such that their
destruction may be regarded as heartfelt compassion and pity. As a mechanism of
the law and judgment, mercy emerges by precepts, principles, and truth, and is
made visible in accordance with the specifics of each case.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: And such
trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of
ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of
God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the
letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Here are some thoughts from Christ that have
been found helpful by many mature believers:
Human language does not correctly describe the
various aspects of divine person, sacred process, and spiritual purpose. We
continue to use “buzz words” like “seek”, “find”, “learn” and “discover”
speaking of being and existence, the makeup of reality and truth, and the
substance of divinity. Our language is imperfect, however, it does allow us to
exchange and share many truths that would otherwise have to remain unspoken.
For example, Almighty GOD is a spirit person, and is not a carnal, material or
social life form; yet, we repeatedly use “he”, “him” and titles of respect to
speak of GOD as if the Maker is a human being. The holy angels, as created of
GOD, are sprit-beings; however, they are not a fullness of divine spirit as GOD
is. The angels are neither mortal (as men are) nor immortal (as GOD is). While
the angels represent a unique and finite expression of divine mind, they are not
in the oneness of spirit-person as are Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Satan exists in the earth as a prince and
ruler from among the angels. In their creation, the angels were endowed with
the full measure of knowledge and wisdom they would use throughout their
service. Angels do not acquire truth as men do through experience over time
granted to mankind as growth and learning. The angels were provided with such
gifts as ability, authority, and feeling; and they were not given “sin”, a
knowledge of sin, or an ability to repent for sin. Sin opposes the existence of
divine law, of rule by GOD, and of existence for all things created of GOD.
Also, sin generates spiritual confusion, and alters the divine content of
created beings and living creatures. When sin (i.e., corruption) was found
among the angels, destructive separation from divine person already had
begun.
The techniques for rule among the angels, and
within the heaven, are not all appropriate for the earth and mankind. Thus,
Satan is incapable of full and open dominion. Through deceit, misdirection and
various wiles, he and his followers are able to exercise a limited influence
upon mankind. Divine rule of mankind is now contested by sin, human ignorance,
self-will, and weakness of the flesh. Acknowledgment of GOD (what we call
“worship”) goes forward correctly only through ones inner awareness from the
imparted, indwelling spirit supplied from GOD. Through the ministry of Jesus
Christ upon the earth, and from the heavens, mankind may receive an additional
endowment of sacred substance from the person of Almighty GOD. Included are
faith, holiness, humility, longsuffering, wisdom and wrath against sin.
There is far more to be said, correctly
applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, men do not seek GOD so much
as right knowledge of GOD (truth), and right standing with GOD (relationship).
Satan does not seek relationship with men as equals or peers; nor does he seek
to eat human flesh and blood. His lust is for control, power, and
vindication.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you
according to your faith.
