Being drawn into religious belief, bereavement, the Gospel, and prophecy are topics, today. Also, there is more on the coming kingdom of GOD. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Ewan” (Level 2 with 432 points, a member since November 02, 2013) posted the following:
Can a death cause someone to turn to religion?
This may sound dumb, but I lost my grandad a couple of years ago, we were very close and I think about him alot
Sometimes I get sympathetic to a religion because I guess it raises the idea that I would see him again
THE BATTLE AXE: A Kingdom Now and One To Come? (09/05/2014)—(6.) Believers speak of GOD as “king” or “monarch” to express the understanding that the Almighty is the single figure having all accountability, authority, dominion, ownership, power, privilege, and rule regarding Creation. As king, GOD is distanced from created beings and living creatures by the responsibilities of divine office as well as by excellence, glory, majesty, merit, and purity. As a sacred device, the kingdom of GOD lessens the separation among the living, and from the Creator. Through baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth from divine substance), believers receive a fresh endowment of the spirit (breath of life) imparted to Adam out from the makeup of GOD. They acquire such inseparable aspects of divinity as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, love, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin. While being within the kingdom is established through new birth, a believer’s competence, maturity, and skill in their role as leader, priest, prophet, or servant to GOD comes only by gradual growth and learning. Those born again must also grow up again by meeting life challenges and having experiences of spiritual triumph while upon the earth.
(7.) The kingdom of GOD that now exists is primarily a spiritual condition shared by created beings and living creatures who are scattered throughout heaven and earth. Through the kingdom that is, mankind may experience a foretaste of the kingdom that will be. Presently, men in the earth may belong to a kingdom of darkness where they must serve as slaves to sin. Also, the kingdom of light established by GOD may come under attack and defilement through the operations of sin. Following the completion of final judgment, the coming kingdom of GOD will appear as a material and physical realm upon the earth. Then the kingdom will be populated only by those belonging to GOD whose names were written in the Book of Life. The New Jerusalem, the Holy City, will have come down from heaven onto the earth. The Garden of Eden will once again have place in the earth as its sphere of life. In the perfection of divine intent and eternal purpose, all who exist will have been transformed: There will no longer be mortals and mortality, and the living all will be incorruptible. The separation of heaven and earth will no longer be in effect; and both GOD and Christ will dwell with men upon the earth. See again Isaiah 64: 4, Matthew 5: 2-4 and 9-11, Matthew 7: 15-23, Luke 12: 27-32, Luke 17: 20-21, John 3: 3-6, 1st Corinthians 2: 9-10 and 6: 9-11, Romans 14: 17 and Revelation 21; 1-5, KJV.
THE GOLDEN ARROW: Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; (2nd Corinthians 1: 3-10, KJV)

“Ewan”, here are a few points on Christian belief you may find helpful:
(1.) Prophets sent as messengers and spokespersons from GOD share three aspects of divine utterance: comfort, edification (building up) and exhortation (urging to action). Comfort may be provided at times of bereavement and loss, during times of persecution and tribulation as well as during phases of judgment (e.g., correction, hardship, punishment, rebuke). In addition to joy, sacred knowledge, longsuffering, patience, prophecy communicates divine love and hope (specific expectations).
(2.) The message we call the Gospel is intended to comfort all mankind as it speaks to the end of death and sin. Death (sometimes called sleep, because the dead may be awakened by GOD) is the completion of mortality, the condition of finite duration that describes human existence. Resurrection is the rejoining of life and spirit to body so that the dead may appear before GOD in judgment. Angels are not mortal, yet, are not immortal; and their duration is determined at the discretion of GOD. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and all Creation that relies upon sacred law. Divine judgment is provided by divinity to resolve all conflicts and settle all disputes among created beings and living creatures by the applications of righteousness conveyed through divine law.
(3.) For Christian believers divine utterances (we say, the word of GOD) has power and is always truth, for the integrity of GOD is unquestionable. GOD is not a man that he should lie. The Almighty can not be intimidated, manipulated, or threatened. As a record of sacred events and operations of GOD upon the earth, the holy writings encourage believers that every detail of the proclamations, promises, and prophesies from GOD will be carried out and fulfilled.
There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1st Thessalonians 4: 13-18, KJV.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
